Today marked the farewell of Majors Jamie and Claire Hill who leave Guernsey after almost 13 years of ministry in the Island. With lots of music, joy and praise from the band, songsters, children, singing group, worship group, and a capacity congregation, the Hills were thanked and tributes and gifts were given as they make their way to Winton Bournemouth Salvation Army. This week is farewell week for Guernsey Salvation Army Officers, Majors Claire and Jamie Hill. Jamie and Claire say a big “thank you” to everyone in Guernsey that they have met and worked with since they moved here in 2009. Jamie and Claire have thoroughly enjoyed their ministry in the Bailiwick and enjoyed the support and contact with many islanders. They will be around in the programme throughout the week and their farewell service is on Sunday 13th February at 10:30am at the SA hall at La Picquerel, you are welcome to join them on that occasion.If you are coming to that service please expect it to go on longer than usual.
