Welcome to the website of The Salvation Army in Guernsey.

Who Are We?

We are primarily a christian church.  That may surprise you – you may think we’re a charity – we do that too.  The Salvation Army is a christian church with its roots in methodism.  In 1865 William Booth was led by God to found The Christian Mission, which became The Salvation Army as we are today.  Currently The Salvation Army is at work in 130 countries – one of which is Guernsey.

What do We Do?

Our main focus is on our community activities run at our community centre at Nocq Road on the Bridge and at our Church building, “The Fortress” in L’Islet.  Our program notes where various activities take place.

Not only do we run a busy programme of community services, but we also meet weekly on a Sunday morning and Evening for Christian worship.  We also have a number of small groups where people can meet together to share a journey of discovery about their faith and enjoy deep fellowship.
